Steady Eddie app for iPhone and iPad

Steady Eddie is an app for children to keep them busy on long car journeys. It is the official app of Eddie Stobart’s ‘Steady Eddie Kids Club’. It uses the Stobart Groups’s own data to map the position of every truck in the Stobart fleet .

The app consists of three parts:

• The Stobart Tracker is a game that might help children spot some of Eddie Stobart’s 2500 trucks!
• Steady Eddie World is a multilevel game, in which the player can help Steady Eddie and his crew pick up and deliver cargo as quickly as possible.

The Stobart Tracker
The Stobart Tracker turns your phone into a Truck Detector – continuously updating the position of all Eddie Stobart trucks as they travel across Britain and Europel

The Tracker adds a new layer of interest to that favourite motorway travel game – Stobart Spotting! The position of every truck in the Eddie Stobart fleet is continually updated on the app’s in-built map.

Using the app, children get a hint on the map that there are trucks in their vicinity. When they click on the truck icon on the map, and they’re close enough, the app will allow them to see a data file that includes a photo, the model and livery, even the truck’s name. Every truck in the fleet is represented with its own bespoke data file.

If you’re registered with the Steady Eddie website, you can also use the app to log your spot into your personal dashboard. You can register for free at steadyeddieworld.com .

Please note:
• This app uses genuine data from Eddie Stobart to map the position of every truck. But the position is still approximate – we don’t want to make Stobart Spotting too easy!
• The tracker app will work on an iPhone or iPad, and requires GPS to be switched on, and a data connection enabled. GPS positioning uses additional battery life.
• The Tracking feature of the app also requires a regularly updated feed of data – so performance may be affected in areas where mobile reception is poor.


Steady Eddie World Game
The Eddie World Game is a fun levels-based game set in ‘Steady Eddie World’.

The aim is simple – steer Timo the truck around Steady Eddie World to pick up and deliver cargo as quickly as possible. You control the road signals to change Timo’s route. And as you get better, your job will get harder! There are twelve levels in the game.
